The yearly Belding Home for the Holidays event returns Saturday with a variety of events throughout the day. From a self-ruling pancake breakfast with Santa in ubiety at BeldingUpperSchool to the heady Santa’s Electric Parade, the polity will be embracing the holiday spirit. Hosted by the BeldingZoneChamber of Commerce, Executive Director Amber Rood said the event should provide a fun undercurrent for both children and adults. “After breakfast, parents and grandparents can visit the arts and craft show while the kids are decorating their own personal ornament and frosting a cookie,” she said. “You might plane run into a few princesses during the craft decorating.” Following the 9 to 11 a.m. breakfast and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. craft show events at the upper school, a Christmas carnival, well-constructed with games for children, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Third Wave Coffee at 105 E Main St. “Miss Belding and her magistrate will be hosting a self-ruling kids safari in the afternoon in Third Wave Coffee’s event room,” Rood said. “This is something that they have been looking forward to hosting.” Following a short break, Santa’s Electric Parade will uncork at 6:10 p.m., traveling south on Bridge Street fromUpperStreet to Washington Street. Following the parade will be the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, then patrons of the event can enjoy the return of two live reindeer, self-ruling hot chocolate, cookies, and popcorn, as well as squatter painting. “We are, without a doubt, looking forward to Santa and two of his reindeer’s returning this year,” Rood said. Rood said many from within the polity are directly involved in bringing Home for the Holidays to life, with others from outside the polity making an effort to participate as well, making it an vast event. “This event is hosted by the BeldingZoneChamber of Commerce, but is underwritten by several of Belding’s local businesses, churches and organizations so that every event can be self-ruling to all zone residents,” she said. “Many parade entrants are from outside the municipality of Belding, so we are encouraging those from neighboring towns to join us in the holiday celebration. Santa’s Electric Parade grows every year and is such a highlight of the evening. Not only are the lights electric, but so are the personalities you will see during the evening parade.” Share This Article:IncreasinglyFrom Local News Go To The Local News SectionVendors, towers owner left empty-handed without sudden closure of Home2Home consignment shop in GreenvillePlans coming together for Stanton’s Veterans Memorial ParkMilitary Mother Meet & Greet set for Dec. 11 Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
